Mapping and modelling with Pix4D

Most drone jobs we solve with photogrammetry: a DJI Mavic 3E with an RTK module photographs the area, and in Pix4D we generate accurate, detailed maps and models from the collected data - for 3D modelling, volume calculation, inspection, planning and control.

As a client you get access to Pix4Dcloud with read and write permissions as needed. That gives you your own account and a single overview, which makes documenting the construction project more efficient.

LiDAR scanning by drone

Where the airspace allows, we also fly LiDAR. Our drone LiDAR module delivers real-time 3D data that captures the detail of complex structures and produces highly precise models. The module combines IMU and GNSS data into point clouds and overlays them with camera imagery, so models and reports can be generated efficiently.

Scanning difficult terrain

The LiDAR module sends laser beams through soft material such as tree canopies and tall grass. That makes it possible to examine the surface beneath vegetation or in bogland and find what would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye. The IMU technology keeps the drone stable at altitude, so the measurements are accurate.

Our specialists handle the whole process, from flying and data capture to processing and reporting. On the ground the drone is complemented by static 3D laser scanning and SLAM scanning.
